The Transportation Liability Leader oversees complex, high-exposure commercial auto liability and transportation-related claims while providing technical leadership to the claims team. Diesel Mechanic / Technician - Keep Our Fleet Moving

Looking for a full-time diesel mechanic job near you? At Averitt, our Diesel Mechanics do more than just turn wrenches, they keep our fleet safe, efficient, and on the road. Whether you're an experienced Diesel Technician or a recent tech school graduate, you'll find opportunity, stability, and career growth with us.

Hours: Wednesday - Saturday 3:30 p.m. - 2 a.m.

What You'll Do:

  • Hourly pay for all time worked, not just hands-on wrench time
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on our modern, low-mileage fleet of Volvo and Freightliner trucks (Cummins, Volvo, and Detroit engines)
  • Work on tractors, trailers, Tico yard trucks and Toyota and Mitsubishi forklifts
  • Use advanced diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot and repair
  • Handle electrical systems, tire maintenance, brake and air conditioning system repair, and minor transmission repairs
  • Enjoy a clean, organized, and well-equipped shop environment
  • 4-day work weeks available at select locations
  • Experienced or newly trained, all diesel techs are welcome
