Frequently Asked Questions

Full Truckload Freight in Atlanta (West) — Common Questions

  • What truckload shipping services does Averitt offer in Atlanta (West)?
Averitt provides full truckload shipping in Atlanta (West) including standard dry van, expedited and time-critical loads, and drop and hook trailer programs. Our asset-based fleet and vetted North American carrier network give you capacity for moves across the region, nationwide, and across the borders into Canada and Mexico.
  • What is the difference between truckload and LTL shipping?
Truckload shipping dedicates an entire trailer to a single shipment that moves directly from pickup to delivery with no rehandling, which suits larger or time-sensitive freight. LTL, or less-than-truckload, combines freight from multiple shippers in one trailer and moves through service centers, which is more cost-effective for smaller shipments. Averitt offers both.
  • Does Averitt provide cross-border truckload service to Canada and Mexico?
Yes. Averitt handles cross-border truckload freight to and from both Canada and Mexico, backed by partnerships with top carriers in each country and an in-house customs clearance team. Our USMCA specialists manage the paperwork so your freight keeps moving across the border.
  • What types of truckload equipment does Averitt offer?
Averitt provides dry van, flatbed, refrigerated, and intermodal truckload capacity across North America. For time-critical shipments, exclusive-use options range from cargo van and straight truck up to 53-foot dry van, matched to your deadline.
  • Is Averitt an asset-based truckload carrier?
Yes. Averitt is a privately held, asset-based carrier with more than 55 years of experience and its own truckload fleet of modern equipment. That fleet is backed by a highly vetted network of North American carrier partners, giving you added capacity when you need it and reliable coverage across the continent.
