Based on the delivery ZIP code, Averitt’s system determines pricing for standard delivery, guaranteed delivery by 5 p.m., and in some cases, guaranteed delivery by noon. COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (May 4, 2011) — Handy Hardware, a cooperative of independent hardware supply retailers headquartered in Houston, Texas, has selected Averitt Express to provide dedicated contract carriage services.

Under the terms of the contract, Averitt is now providing Handy Hardware with dedicated local and over-the-road transportation of hardware products to retail stores located throughout a five-state region from one of Handy Hardware’s distribution centers located in Houston.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 15, 2010) — Averitt Express announced the winners of its recent “F-150 4x4 Fuel Duel” challenge at a surprise ceremony held at its Greensboro, N.C., service center.

Driver Marty Robbins was randomly selected as the winner of the grand prize, a 2010 Ford F-150 4x4 pickup truck, from a pool of hundreds of eligible associates. In addition, 20 other Averitt associates each won a $500 fuel card after their names were selected from a random drawing.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 7, 2010) — It was a clean sweep for Averitt Express, as all six Tennessee Trucking Foundation Scholarships for the 2010-2011 school year were awarded to the transportation provider’s associates or family members.

Each year, the Tennessee Trucking Foundation, the charitable arm of the Tennessee Trucking Association, awards six scholarships to children, spouses or employees of TTA member organizations.
