Diesel Mechanic / Technician - Keep Our Fleet Moving

Looking for a full-time diesel mechanic job near you? At Averitt, our Diesel Mechanics do more than just turn wrenches, they keep our fleet safe, efficient, and on the road. Hours: Monday - Friday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

What You'll Do:

• Competitive pay making $34.60 - $37.80/hour (based on experience), based on how long you're on the clock, not just how many hours you spend fixing an issue
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on our modern, low-mileage fleet of Volvo and Freightliner trucks (Cummins, Volvo, and Detroit engines)
• Work on tractors, trailers, Tico yard trucks and Toyota and Mitsubishi forklifts
• Use advanced diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot and repair
• Handle electrical systems, tire maintenance, brake and air conditioning system repair, and minor transmission repairs
• Enjoy a clean, organized, and well-equipped shop environment
• 4-day work weeks available at select locations
• Experienced or newly trained, all diesel techs are welcome

• Start at: 61 cpm
• $27 per stop (average 6-9 stops per week, lasting between 30 minutes-1 hour per stop)

• Secure and strap down containers and storage units
• Destination site personnel will unload & reload portable storage
• Pick up and deliver across the 48 contiguous states (no NYC deliveries), may not deliver in all states but will travel through

• This is an assigned sleeper position
• $18 /hour while operating a forklift to seldom load and unload (training provided)
