LTL Freight Service in Dallas, TX

As a Dedicated Flex Truck Driver, you'll enjoy the benefits of consistent customers with the added variety of working with multiple dedicated accounts. • Miles will fluctuate depending on which account you are working on

• Driver will be assigned to various dedicated accounts in Texas and Oklahoma
• Driver may also be assigned to yard switcher assignments
• There may be times when driver is assigned to the local service center
• Majority of assignments allow you to be home for most of the weekend

• Class A CDL required
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, along with a valid passport, are required. Candidates can apply for a passport within 30 days of hire but must obtain it within 120 days.
• Must apply for Doubles endorsement and TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) within 30 days of hire and must obtain Doubles endorsement and TWIC within 90 days of hire- will be reimbursed upon receipt
• TSA certification required for airport deliveries
• Must be willing to perform yard switching duties in a yard tractor
• Adaptability: Must be comfortable working with different types of freight and customers
• Flexibility: Occasionally assist with other Averitt operations to keep you on the road and working

• $18 /hour while operating a forklift to seldom load and unload (training provided)

What You'll Do:

• Competitive pay making $35.62- $38.85/hour (based on experience), based on how long you're on the clock, not just how many hours you spend fixing an issue
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on our modern, low-mileage fleet of Volvo and Freightliner trucks (Cummins, Volvo, and Detroit engines)
• Work on tractors, trailers, Tico yard trucks and Toyota and Mitsubishi forklifts
