(June 3, 2010) — Averitt Express has announced the beginning of its ‘Ford F-150 4x4 Fuel Duel’ program, an initiative aimed at offering incentives to its associates who follow fuel-efficient practices. As part of the program, Averitt will be giving away 20 $500 gas cards and one fully loaded 2010 Ford F-150 4x4 truck.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 19, 2010) — The Reliance Network, an award-winning consortium of regional LTL carriers, today announced it has added two new carriers to its cross-continent coverage.

Mountain Valley Express and Peninsula Truck Lines have joined The Reliance Network as providers covering the Western U.S. The two new carriers replace DATS Trucking, which had previously provided service in that region.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (April 8, 2010) — Averitt Express, a leading provider of freight transportation and supply chain management, recently announced major LTL service improvements in thousands of lanes.

As a result of its recent network optimization efforts, Averitt has improved its service in 14,000 lanes, resulting in faster transit times. In addition, Averitt estimates that about 86 million pounds of freight moving throughout its network will receive less handling, allowing the carrier to deliver an even higher quality of service to its customers.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 25, 2010) — The associates of Averitt Express recently presented St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with a donation of $350,000 during a formal event held at the hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

The monetary gift, which was collected entirely from Averitt associate contributions during 2009, marks the 17th annual donation from “Averitt Cares for Kids” to St. Jude.
