At Averitt, Veterans Day is a time to pause and recognize the people whose service, character, and leadership continue to strengthen not only our company but the entire transportation industry. Many of our associates proudly served in the U.S. Armed Forces — and in this video, a few share what that experience means to them today.
Veterans Day is really it's acknowledgment to all the men and women that were willing to sign that blank check. I'm absolutely honored to to be a brother to all veterans. There's a there's a lot of veterans out there that that had to go see things that I didn't make it to see, and and I I don't feel like I belong in that same group. So just to be classified in the same group is an absolute honor. And, again, if they ever need to talk, I'm I'm there anytime. I feel good about being recognized and everybody should feel good if you did your time. I remember at one time when Veterans Day came around, I really didn't celebrate it, but then the spirit hit me and said, hey, you served, you put your life on the line, you deserve to do it. So I started doing it. Well, first I'd like to say thank you to all our veterans that served for your sacrifice and dedication. Where would our country be without you? Hoorah.
Their stories remind us that the same values that define military service — commitment, discipline, teamwork, and dependability — are the same values that keep supply chains moving safely and efficiently across America.
For veterans transitioning into civilian life, transportation offers a purpose-driven career path where those skills truly matter. Averitt is proud to employ and support veterans across our network, offering opportunities to build rewarding careers in operations, driving, leadership, and logistics — all within a team environment that shares their dedication to service and excellence.
To every veteran — at Averitt, within our customers’ organizations, and across the country — thank you for your service, your leadership, and your ongoing contributions to keeping our nation and its economy moving forward.
