COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – As part of its continuing efforts to show appreciation for its driving force, Averitt Express is celebrating Driver Appreciation Week (Sept. 10-16) with events throughout its network.

This year’s events include cookouts, prize drawings and other festivities at Averitt’s facilities. There are also daily prize drawings for prizes such as Amazon Fire TV sticks, Apple AirPods, an iPad, a Samsung 55-inch Smart TV and more.

As has become Averitt’s tradition for several years, five over-the-road drivers will have their names drawn as the grand-prize winners of a brand-new Freightliner truck assignment.

“Our driving force is a key reason we have enjoyed success for more than 50 years,” said Gary Sasser, Averitt’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “The transportation industry has faced challenges and instability this year. Through it all, the professionalism and commitment of our associates has continued to shine and put us in position to share a bright future together.”

As another way to celebrate Driver Appreciation Week, Averitt produced a special video honoring its associates. To watch the video, visit or click below.
