COOKEVILLE, Tenn. — Averitt has received enhanced scores from CDP, reflecting the company’s continued efforts to measure, manage, and disclose its environmental impacts.

CDP applies a rigorous and independent methodology to evaluate disclosure of quality, risk awareness, environmental management, and evidence of best practice. CDP is fully aligned with the TCFD framework and maintains the world’s largest repository of environmental data. Its scoring system is widely used by procurement teams seeking to accelerate progress toward a net-zero, sustainable, and Earth-positive global economy.

“These scores reflect our approach to corporate social responsibility: conducting business in a way that supports people, strengthens communities, and operates with integrity at every level” said Barry Blakely, president and chief operating officer at Averitt. “As a privately held company, we’ve always believed in doing things the right way. From reducing emissions and resource usage to fostering a culture of respect and giving back to the places we call home; we’re committed to creating long-term value for everyone we serve. This mindset has guided us since day one – and it continues to shape every mile forward.”

Sherry Madera, CEO of CDP said, “A CDP score is a sign of commitment to high-quality data that enables companies to take Earth-positive economic decisions that future-proof their operations, improving access to capital, competitiveness and compliance. Tackling environmental risks head-on will create a more resilient economy and increase companies’ ability to innovate and invest. We look forward to seeing all companies build on their accolade and turn their commitments into meaningful and effective action.”

Averitt has continued to approach sustainability with a focus and commitment to bettering the environment and the communities it serves. This recognition of improvement comes off the back of several environmental-focused awards and initiatives Averitt has been recognized for in 2025. Including but not limited to:

  • Multi-year partnership with Tennessee State Parks
  • Tennessee Governor’s Environmental Stewardship Award for Clean Air and Transportation Solutions
  • 2025 Green Supply Chain Partner
  • TRANSTEX Sustainability Award
  • SAQ Score Improvement
  • EcoVadis Committed Badge

Averitt recently published a new corporate social responsibility report outlining its most current sustainability metrics, initiatives, and data-driven progress across environmental, social, and governance priorities. The report is available at Averitt.com/CSR.
