COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (March 20, 2012) — In recognition of its commitment to reliability and quality, Averitt Express was recently presented with a 2011 Outstanding Performance Award from Chevron Lubricants.
According to officials from Chevron Lubricants, only carriers that demonstrate high performance and safety standards are considered for the award. Averitt maintained a pickup and delivery score of greater than 90 percent, while also receiving strong safety survey results, which included zero accidents.
“Customers rely on us to move their shipments on time, on target and intact, and to do so with safety and security as top priorities,” said Mike Wise, Averitt’s vice president of corporate accounts. “We consider it an honor just to partner with fine companies like Chevron Lubricants, and performing well enough to earn this kind of recognition makes our relationship even more special.”
The Chevron Lubricants 2011 Outstanding Performance Award is one of several honors Averitt has received from customers in the past few months. Earlier this year, Averitt was named Walmart’s 2011 LTL Carrier of the Year, while adhesive and school supply maker Elmer’s Products recently presented Averitt with its 2011 Carrier of the Year award.
