Celebrating A Milestone

In some ways, 1971 seems like only yesterday. Back then, we were "Tennessee's Carrier," hauling dry goods between Nashville and Livingston with just three tractors and two associates.Today, we've built a reputation for providing innovative and creative transportation solutions for customers that range from the mom-and-pop down the street to global retailers. And that kind of growth doesn't happen without associates like you.

For five decades, we've remained committed to our core values: building a strong team by hiring and training People Like You; growing steadily by helping our customers succeed; sharing the financial rewards of that growth with our associates through Profit Sharing; and giving back to our communities through Averitt Charities. None of this would be possible without you. It's your commitment to taking this journey with us that has helped us grow. And it will continue as we look forward to the next 50 years... and beyond. So whether you've been a part of our team for several decades or several days, thank you. Thank you for being part of this journey with us.

But we're not done.

Fifty was just the beginning. And we can't wait to see what the future holds.

Michael, Industrial Services

In May of 2019, the Midwest saw a torrential amount of rainfall. The greater Tulsa area saw flooding the likes of which hadn't been seen since 1986. As the river began to get out of its banks, our company had already been contacted by Van Peters and Justin Burkett to offer assistance. As our company also has another facility on the east side of Tulsa, we graciously accepted the help. We had many truckloads of inventory and equipment that were moved from just west of the Arkansas River, over near the Averitt facility in East Tulsa. In less than 24 hours, we had everything necessary to continue our manufacturing and assembly functions moved out of harms way. These fine folks had every opportunity to charge us astronomical numbers for the move, but that is simply not how they do business. As "neighbors helping neighbors," we were charged a fair price, but I still believe that it was significantly less than normal rates. Averitt has some wonderful people that create good customer relationships, which along with great service, make for long lasting customers. I am proud to call the Tulsa team my friends.
